Ramster

Fine Mansion in fine Gardens near Chiddingfold, Surrey
An Original Painting by Stanscapes:     Acrylics on Box Canvas 40 x 60 cm (16 x 24 inches)

Ramster House dates from the early 17th century. It is situated among fine Japanese-style gardens and woodland near Chiddingfold on the Surrey/Sussex borders. Originally built by a wealthy glass maker, the house later was a farm, but has now again become a fine country house. The courtyard in the foreground was the original farmyard. The gardens are open to the public and visited by several thousands of visitors every year. The adjacent Long Hall is the venue for wedding receptions, exhibitions and many other events.
