Chartwell was the home of Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine. This painting shows the stunning view from his windows that he enjoyed so much. It looks over the Weald of Kent to Sussex. Chartwell was Churchill's home from 1924 until the end of his life. Many of Sir Winston's paintings are now on exhibition in his garden art studio, which is in the middle-ground of this English landscape painting.
