Annecy in the French Alps has great natural beauty, with its mountains, lake, river and old town
The Palais d'Isle, dominated by its Stair Tower, was for centuries both courthouse and the Old Prison.
It looks like a ship anchored in the River Thiou. This is the view at night when floodlit.
